Avista Continuing Power Restoration from Thursday’s Wind Storm
Service restored to 70 percent of customers

Avista expects to restore power late this afternoon or early this evening to the approximately 115 customers who remain without power in Spokane following yesterday’s wind storm and fires. Approximately 3,300 customers in the Colville, Wash., area remain without power. Restoring power to those customers, estimated for Saturday or Sunday, is being hampered by the significant number of downed trees and other damage caused by the wind storm.

Area residents are encouraged to check on elderly or infirm neighbors to assure they are safe during the outage.

Avista continues to urge customers to stay away from all downed utility lines, as they may be energized power lines. To report a downed power line or an outage, call Avista at 800-227-9187.
