Avista Crews Continuing to Restore Service in Areas Hit by Storm

Spokane, Wash.: Avista made continued progress today in restoring power to customers in areas hit hardest by yesterday’s storm of heavy, wet snow. As of 3:30 p.m. today, approximately 1,547 customers remain without power.

In the Colville area 336 customers remain without service; 364 in Chewelah, 380 in Kettle Falls; 127 in Davenport; and 230 in the Valley area, as well as scattered outages in the outlying areas. At the height of the storm, approximately 7,370 customers were without service.

Avista expects the majority of customers will have power by late today, but anticipates it will be Friday before all customers are fully restored. Work will continue around the clock until service is restored to all customers.
