Avista is proud to participate in the first Inland Northwest Green Fair, an event designed to promote and increase interest for green products, technologies, and services found in the Quad Cities – Lewiston, Moscow, Clarkston and Pullman - and surrounding areas.
Visitors to the Avista booth will receive a free compact fluorescent light bulb (CFL) and low-flow shower head while supplies last. These energy efficient products are quick, easy ways to immediately begin reducing energy consumption in the home.
The Avista Sun Car (http://www.everylittlebit.com/SunCar.aspx) will also be on display at the Fair. The sun car is a plug-in electric car powered by solar panels located at Avista’s corporate offices in Spokane. They’re part of a project Avista is conducting to help the company explore renewable energy options for customers and to provide information about incorporating renewable energy into customers’ daily lives.

The Inland Northwest Green Fair is a great opportunity for community members to pick up these items and learn more about reducing energy use in their homes. The fair’s organizers hope to bring businesses, residents, students and non-profits together to share and learn about energy efficiency, environmental responsibility and sustainable lifestyle practices. Avista is one of more than 30 vendors participating. Guest speakers from the area will also be giving presentations on energy efficiency, alternative energy sources, conservation, and more.
“There are many low-cost and no-cost ways we can all reduce our energy consumption on a daily basis,” said Bruce Folsom, Avista’s director of energy efficiency. “Avista is proud to participate in a green fair that demonstrates that every little bit customers do to reduce energy consumption will benefit them and our environment.”
