Avista Hosting Glendale Energy Fair
Residents invited to learn about natural gas extension and energy efficiency programs

SPOKANE, Wash. – June 26, 2007:  Avista is hosting an Energy Fair in Glendale on Thursday, June 28, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., at the Glendale Elementary School at 100 Pacific Ave. All residents are invited to attend to discuss the extension of natural gas service into Glendale and the subsequent conversion of current Avista customers from piped propane to natural gas service. Information on energy efficiency rebates and incentives offered by Avista, as well as energy conservation information will be available.

Avista is currently constructing a 3.8 mile underground natural gas distribution line into Glendale with construction along Azalea Glen Road scheduled to be completed by the end of August. Avista expects to complete the conversion of its current 158 piped propane customers to natural gas service by the end of September, at which time the piped propane service will be discontinued.
