Avista Maintenance at Nine Mile Dam Requires Nine Mile Reservoir Drawdown
Drawdown to begin Oct. 14 lowering the reservoir twelve feet through October 20

Spokane, Wash. October 6, 2017: Avista will draw Nine Mile Reservoir down 12 feet starting October 14 for approximately one week. This drawdown will allow Avista to preform maintenance on the Nine Mile Dam spillway gates. As in the past, Avista will take two days to draw the reservoir down in an effort to minimize erosion and other effects on aquatic resources. Please note: The Nine Mile Reservoir drawdown does not affect the water level in Lake Spokane (please see map for area). During the drawdown period, Avista asks that landowners secure docks and plan recreation activities with this in mind. This is also a good time for landowners to complete approved dock or equipment maintenance. Avista customers/property owners can sign up for e-mail notifications from Avista on the water level changes related to our operations. To receive notifications on Coeur d’Alene Lake and the Spokane River downstream of Post Falls Dam, please email spokanerivernews@avistacorp.com and include CDA Lake and Spokane River water level update in the subject line.
