Avista Names Ian Eccles District Manager for Othello

: Avista Utilities has named Ian Eccles District Manager for Othello, Wash. In this role, Eccles will oversee community involvement and all aspects of electric operations for Avista’s more than 7,800 area customers, which includes the cities of Othello, Lind, Ritzville, Sprague, Warden and Washtucna.

 

Eccles has lived in the Columbia Basin for the past 13 years. Prior to coming to Avista, Eccles was a District Engineer for the East Columbia Basin Irrigation District. Eccles graduated from the University of Idaho, earning a degree in Agricultural Engineering. He earned his State of Washington license as a Professional Engineer (P.E.) in 2010.

 

“Ian has a great background in leadership and engineering, and brings a strong desire for community involvement,” said Jason Thackston, vice president of Energy Delivery for Avista Utilities.  “We believe he will be a great leader for our operations in Othello.”

“I’m excited to begin working with Avista customers and many of the same community members and professional contacts I’ve gotten to know throughout my time in the Basin,” Eccles said.

 

Eccles and his wife, Nicole, are the parents of five children.
