Avista Names New La Grande Construction Manager

Spokane, Wash., August 7// -- Avista has named Don Kellogg construction manager for La Grande, Ore. effective Aug. 7. In his new role, Kellogg will oversee all aspects of Avista's natural gas operations for its 7,428 customers in the La Grande area.

Kellogg has more than 20 years experience in natural gas construction, mostly recently as a gas journeyman in Avista's Klamath Falls, Ore., office. Actively involved in the community, he has served as vice president for the Klamath County Utility Council, board member for the Klamath Falls YMCA and Boy Scouts of America.

"Don brings a broad background in natural gas operations, coupled with a strong desire for community involvement," said Don Kopczynski, vice president of transmission and distribution operations for Avista Utilities. "He will be a great addition to Avista's operations and to the La Grande community."

"I am very excited for the opportunity this position brings. My family and I are looking forward to relocating to La Grande where I intend to find ways to become involved in the community. I love the mountains and I'm looking forward to exploring the ones around La Grande," Kellogg said.
