Nov. 13, 2015, 1:00 p.m. PST: Avista filed an application with the Idaho Public Utilities Commission (IPUC or Commission) requesting to resume natural gas energy efficiency programs and an increase to Schedule 191, “Energy Efficiency Rider Adjustment.”
Schedule 191 is designed to fund the programs and recover the costs incurred by Avista associated with providing natural gas energy efficiency services to customers. The estimated annual revenue change associated with this filing is an increase of approximately $1.25 million for natural gas Schedule 191, or an increase of 1.7 percent in overall billed rates, to be effective Jan. 1, 2016.
If the request is approved, Avista residential customers using an average of 61 therms per month could expect their bill to increase by $1.11, beginning Jan. 1, 2016.
Rate Application Procedure
Avista’s application is a proposal, subject to public review and a Commission decision. A copy of the application is available for public review at the offices and websites of both the Commission and Avista (reference AVU-G-15-03).
