Avista Transmission Work in Liberty Lake to Temporarily Impact Traffic, Wednesday, May 21, Between 9:00 a.m. and Noon

Traffic at the intersection of Liberty Lake Road and Appleway at the I-90 on/off ramps will be interrupted periodically on Wednesday, May 21, between 9:00 a.m. and noon as Avista continues work on relocating its transmission lines in the area. Lane closures are expected to last from 30 seconds up to four minutes while Avista workers pull ropes across the intersection. No outages are expected to occur as part of Wednesday’s work.

“We apologize for the inconvenience to residents and businesses; however, our crews will work as quickly and safely as possible to keep in the interruption to a minimum,” said Nancy Holmes, regional business manager for Avista.

The relocation of the transmission lines is the first part of a long-term plan by the City of Liberty Lake to underground power lines in the City along Liberty Lake Road.
