Avista Utilities' Employee Named Outstanding Citizen
Terry Kolb recognized for long-time community service to City of Lewiston, Idaho

Spokane, Wash., March 24// -- Avista Utilities' Lewiston, Idaho, area manager Terry Kolb has been recognized by the Lewiston Intergovernmental Council as an Outstanding Citizen in recognition of his long-time dedication and contributions to the City of Lewiston.

Kolb, a 34-year Avista employee, currently is in his second term as a Port of Lewiston Commissioner; is the vice-chair of the board of directors of St. Joseph Regional Medical Center; and is a founding board member and current president of Valley Vision, an economic development organization serving the Lewis-Clark Valley.

In receiving the award Kolb said he appreciates the confidence placed in him by the various organizations he has served during his 24 years in Lewiston.

"Most of us get involved to make our communities a better place to live, work and raise our families. We don't do these things expecting an award," Kolb said. "Therefore, it is very gratifying to be recognized for what we've been able to accomplish on behalf of the community."

The Lewiston Intergovernmental Council is comprised of the Mayor Pro Tem of Lewiston, the chair of the Nez Perce County Commission, the president of the Port of Lewiston Commission, and the president of the Lewiston School Board.
