Outages also remain in Post Falls/Rathdrum (677) and Hayden (159), with an additional 39 outages scattered throughout the Davenport/Othello, Pullman and Sandpoint areas. This slight increase in outage numbers comes as some customers are reporting their outage for the first time.

Avista anticipates having electric service restored to most customers by late this evening. Service has been restored to most customers who were affected by power outages involving main electric distribution feeders. The majority of the remaining outages involve neighborhood electric service lines, transformers that serve small blocks of customers, and even individual electric service lines. A customer may see neighbors' power restored, however, that customer may remain without service. In such cases, customers are asked to call Avista at (800) 227-9187. When reporting an outage, relay any information that can help determine the cause of the outage, such as a sound heard or something visual.

Never touch or attempt to remove fallen limbs from downed or sagging power lines. Treat all power lines as if they are energized or carrying electrical current. Remember to keep all children and pets away from the area of downed lines.
