Crews will be performing maintenance on substation serving Davenport

Spokane, Wash., April 5// -- Approximately 1,100 Avista Utilities customers in Davenport and the surrounding area will experience a disruption in their electrical service on Sunday, April 10, 2005, from 3:00 a.m. until 6:00 a.m. as Avista crews perform maintenance on the substation serving the Davenport area.

Areas impacted by the service interruption will be the town of Davenport, the rural areas from town east to Highway 231, south to Zellmer Road and north to Lane Road.

Nick Marriott, operations supervisor for Davenport, said the outage is scheduled at a time that will have the least impact on customers.

"We realize any interruption in electrical service is an inconvenience for our customers, however, proper equipment maintenance is important in providing on-going reliable service to our customers" Marriott said. "We apologize for the service interruption, but encourage customers with special considerations to make alternative arrangements during this time frame."
