Avista Work at Little Falls Dam to Affect Water Levels
Maintenance at Little Falls Hydroelectric Facility will affect water levels below Long Lake Dam in the Little Falls Reservoir


SPOKANE, Wash. – July 7, 2016:  Avista is completing spill gate maintenance work at its Little Falls Dam, which requires the Little Falls Reservoir to be drawn down over the next few months. This work will begin on July 11 and is scheduled to be completed within a twelve week time frame. 

In order to complete the work the reservoir will be lowered as much as six feet beginning Sunday July 10 through the afternoon of Monday July 11. At that time the reservoir will remain at least three feet down for up to an additional twelve week period.  The public should exercise caution while recreating on the reservoir during the drawdown.
