Avista to Distribute Free Compact Fluorescent Light Bulbs and Energy Saving Ideas at Othello’s Evergreen Implement


Visitors are invited to stop by the Avista booth inside Evergreen Implement, 1415 South First, Othello, Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2008, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. to pick up a free energy efficient compact fluorescent light bulb (CFL) along with energy saving ideas and energy efficiency rebate information.

Avista staff will be answering questions on energy efficiency, weatherization and wise energy choices to reduce overall energy consumption in the home.

CFLs use up to 75 percent less energy than regular incandescent light bulbs and last up to seven times longer. “This is an easy and cost effective way reduce energy use,” said Camille Martin, program manager for Avista. “We’re looking forward to sharing some tips with customers and helping them find ways to manage their energy use.”
