Avista to Donate Eight Retired Vehicles to Area Non-Profit Groups
Public and media welcome to attend ceremony on Tuesday, Oct. 10 at 10 a.m. at Avista

MEDFORD, Ore. – Oct. 9, 2006: Retired Avista trucks and vehicles will live a second life when they go to eight area non-profit groups including Medford Red Cross, Klamath Falls Red Cross, Roseburg Red Cross, Humane Society, Habitat for Humanity, Friends of the Fair, Rogue River High School, and the City of Glendale.

Avista is planning to hand over the vehicles to the non-profit groups during a public ceremony on Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2006, at 10 a.m. in the Avista Utilities parking lot at 580 Business Park Drive, Medford, Ore. The media is encouraged to attend.

“Avista is pleased to be able to support our community organizations in this way. We are always looking for creative ways to help out. Donating retired vehicles is one way that Avista can be a community partner,” said Avista Utilities Oregon General Manager Deborah Martin.
