Planned Outage Will Interrupt Electric Service for Avista’s North Lewiston Customers
Avista crews performing maintenance on equipment to ensure reliability and to meet growing customer demand

Feb. 28, 2011:
Avista is advising customers there will be a planned power outage impacting a portion of the North Lewiston area on Wednesday, March 2. The six hour outage will begin at 10:00 p.m. and is expected to last until 4:00 a.m. on March 3.

Impacted by the outage will be approximately 800 Avista customers in the area north of the Clearwater River to the top of the Lewiston Grade and east to the Clearwater Casino. The outage is necessary to allow Avista crews to work in a safe environment as they perform maintenance on equipment to ensure reliability and to meet growing customer demand.

“We apologize for the inconvenience to our customers and encourage those with special considerations to make alternative arrangements during this time frame. Our crews will work as quickly and safely as possible so that customers will have their service restored with minimum inconvenience,” said Tim Olson, Avista’s region operations engineer.
